Your voice matters. Become involved in the election, and help to create the Airdrie of the future. If you can’t vote on election day, you can vote in an advance vote, or by special vote (mail-in) if you meet the requirements. If you need a ride to the voting station please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Exercise your democratic right and vote.
Voter identification required
Every elector who attends a voting station or applies for a special ballot must produce the following identification to be permitted to vote:
- one (1) piece of identification issued by a Canadian government, whether federal, provincial or local, or an agency of that government, that contains a photograph of the elector and his or her name, current address and age
- two (2) pieces of identification authorized by the Chief Electoral Officer under the Election Act for the purposes of section 95(1)(a)(ii) of that Act that establishes the elector’s name and current address; of which one piece of identification must also establish an elector’s age.
Advance Vote days
Any person authorized to vote on Election Day is authorized to vote at an Advance Vote. The City of Airdrie’s Advance Votes will take place in Council Chambers in City Hall, 400 Main ST SE on:
- Saturday, September 30, 2017 — 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 11, 2017 — 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Election Day – Monday, October 16, 2017
Every voting station will open promptly at 6:30 a.m. and be kept open continuously until 8 p.m.
